I grew up in Tucson, going to high school at BASIS Oro Valley. I did 2 undergrad degrees in ECE and Math at the U of A, then moved to LA to complete a Master's in CS at USC, and am now back at the U of A for my PhD!
Research Interests
Quantum Computing, Visualization, and Graphics
What long-term project do you want to work on?
I want to work most on developing the algorithmic side of phi-bits, which are sound based (phonon based) qubits with some really interesting and unique properties.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I like that I can combine both technical knowledge and creativity in order to solve problems that could potentially have a broader impact
What are your career goals?
I'm hoping to be able to make applied contributions to the field of quantum computing in order to make practical quantum computers become a reality.
