About Me
I joined the Department of Computer Science in January 2019. Prior to my role as Principal IT Support Analyst, I worked in the private sector in several Internet Service Providers. Starting in the early 90’s my previous roles were all systems and network administration based, including engineering, routing and construction of RF wireless systems. During this time I also worked in web application development and design. I hold several industry certifications and earned an Associates in Graphic Design/Computer Graphics.
My primary role in the department is to support all IT related systems. These systems include many student accessible servers and desktops, along with providing support to faculty and research computing. I also maintain computing/teaching facilities in our classrooms and the student computer labs.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, Steph (wife), children (Johnny, Eli), and my spoiled rescue dogs (Bella, Quinn). I enjoy doing electronics projects, which includes many raspberry pi projects and my custom home network lab. I also enjoy working on old Volkswagens (pre-80s), which include my never finished project cars (1974 Beetle, 1971 Squareback).
Favorite TV shows: The IT Crowd (of course), The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Futurama, Deathnote, Bleach and many other anime series.
Favorite movies: Starwars (all), The Fifth Element, Akira, Apocalypse Now, anything by Luc Besson and Tarantino.
Favorite music: 70-80 Punk Rock, and most anything in Classic Rock
