Rachel was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She studies Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at the University of Arizona with minors in Math and Korean.  Growing up here, one of the summer camps Rachel attended as a kid was called the “Physics Factory” where kids would have the opportunity to learn all sorts of crafting from woodworking to metalworking to coding to soldering circuits. From that camp she developed several interests: the first being woodworking, and now owns a scroll saw to create pieces of art. The second is coding and learning about circuits which Rachel is now studying at the U of A. She has expanded her interests since then to focus more specifically on Cybersecurity, and just completed training for a cybersecurity certification this summer. Rachel was introduced to K-pop in high school, and became interested in learning the language so she could understand the songs – Rachel had the opportunity to study Korean as a second language requirement for Computer Science, and enjoyed it so much that she decided to add it as a minor, and to travel to Korea. Beyond her focus on her career, Rachel enjoys the Grand Canyon. She has done a couple hikes to the bottom, and gone down the river once. She plans to go back many more time
