About Me

I joined the Department of Computer Science in April of 2018. Prior to my role as Administrative Assistant, I worked for Gray Line Tours as a Tour Coordinator and before that I was a full-time student and a part-time student worker for the Management Information Systems (MIS) Department at the University of Arizona. After three years and half of studying and changing majors from MIS to Spanish, I earned a BS in Spanish and Portuguese in Fall of 2014.

My primary role in the department is to assist the department’s faculty, staff, and student workers with any help they might need. I am responsible for maintaining all departmental room calendars up to date, taking all incoming calls on the main line, and organizing all departmental events. In addition, I am the Chair for the College of Science Staff Advisory Council (CoSSAC). CoSSAC serves as a liaison and advisor to the Dean on staff issues and their goal is to support classified and university staff by empowering employees within the College of Science, enhancing their quality of life, and building a sense of community.

In my free time I enjoy crocheting and being crafty. Friends at times will call me a grandma because everywhere I go, I always carry my yarn and hooks! I consider myself trilingual (I am fluent in Spanish and English and speaks little Portuguese).
