I spent the first 10 years of my life here in the USA before moving to Kolkata, India where I did my middle and high school. I attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, MA for my undergraduate studies in Computer Science and Mathematics. Following my graduation, I went to Seattle to work for Amazon as a software development engineer for about 2.5 years. A realization soon dawned upon me that my actual interests lie in doing research and so, I decided to pursue a PhD. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, violin, and boardgames.

What long-term project do you want to work on?
I want to be able to analyze certain Cryptographic Protocols and Quantum Computing Algorithms from the perspective of Abstract Interpretation.

What do you enjoy most about your work?
My favorite aspect of research is that it is intellectually challenging. The prospect of finding the unknown by fathoming the depths of existing knowledge is truly exhilarating. I also very much love using theoretical mathematics in my investigations.

What are your career goals?
I want to be able to contribute to Cryptography and Quantum Computing research.
