I am originally from Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico. My interest in computer science came a bit late but it stem from my deep interest in calculus and its application in programming. I obtained my bachelor of science in computer science from The University of Texas at El Paso, where I also did undergraduate research. My initial research experience was on simulations and the addition of parameters to increase their fidelity. After graduating my research work was geared towards surrogate model selection with machine learning or mathematical models. Some projects also included sensitivity analysis research. I enjoy teaching and I used to be part of a ACM chapter where we created workshops to aid people with topics of computer science.
